As an engaging, enthusiastic, and purposeful professional I have been able to work for industry leaders such as NBC News, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NY Giants, New York Daily News, and the YES Network. Each of these dynamic corporations enabled me to gain invaluable hands-on experience. With a constant flow of ideas and innovation I have learned how to produce the most accurate and interesting content for varied audiences on multiple platforms.
My recent experience working for NBC News taught me invaluable skills in an extremely fast-paced, media-centric environment. I was tasked with working morning news, coordinating live hits between tech operations, assignment desks, both network, filed teams, and local show management. I sought out top stories from across our 221 local stations and then pitched my selections to TODAY and Nightly News for featured stories. With my unique background in social media, I took on the role of tracking analytics of social media collaborations. These collabs were between the TODAY show, Nightly News, Dateline and Meet the Press. I was successful in presenting ways to improve effectiveness and engagement across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. This allowed for an increase in local news stories being shared on mass platforms. These stories went on to be top performing posts each month. My passion in finding new ways to interact with consumers and make news readily available drives my daily work ethic.
During my 9-month post graduate internship experience with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I oversaw the Buccaneer’s Snapchat, TikTok content creation, social media analytics, Captain Fear’s (Tampa Bay’s mascot) Twitter account, and weekly articles for the Buccaneer’s website. Along with these responsibilities I contributed to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and even started the first NFL BeReal account.  Working alongside supportive team members taught me how to introduce and execute projects clearly and efficiently. This made me a reliable team member and allowed me to gain trust while leading projects. I took advantage of an opportunity to create content with Tom Brady by creating a viral short-form video used on multiple platforms. I excel in environments that rely on quick decision making and this job was no exception.
Throughout my last two years at Fordham University I was one of the youngest reporters for the New York Daily News. I worked as the Metro Desk ‘runner’ where I contributed to three front-page stories and 30 bylines by the end of my internship. My job was not spent in an office but on the subways traveling from crime scenes to court hearings to victims’ homes. It was here that I gained experience in how to be a diligent, confident, and resilient journalist.
